I removed the metal handle, and now I’m looking at a white and gray plastic part? what do I do next? the cold water isn’t working so I’m looking to clean it out to see if that helps. thanks.

    Try pulling the plastic piece out. There should be a metal clip in the side that holds everything in that you need to pull out

    first, make sure the water is off as if you continue to disassemble at this point, you’re gonna see a geiser.
    there should be a large-ish hex nut which actually is the entire valve assembly. if you remove this you will then be able to either replace the whole thing, they have them at home depot, or fiugre out what part needs to be repaired/replaced. there are washers and packing and various other parts to decide upon. i usually just take the whole thing down and replace it, they’re about $7. be sure to get one that turns the same way. they list them as hot and copld but this doesn’t always match what you’re doing…
